Green energy is a relatively new field in Vietnam, not many companies operating in this field so businesses Denmark difficult to find business partners.

Meanwhile, Denmark has a lot of wind power companies, solar energy and is very interested in this potential market.

Currently Denmark is to find solutions to bring green energy production in Vietnam market through meetings, dialogue between the two sides.

This is shared by John Nielsen, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam at the press conference in the framework of the implementation of the program continues to support corporate and social responsibility of business, by the Embassy of Denmark held on 27/6, Ho Chi Minh City.

Explaining green energy issues in Vietnam has not attracted many foreign enterprises, said John Nielsen, electricity price in Vietnam is too low compared to the world average, investors may not want to have a competitive electricity prices should investors do not know how the pricing power to match market.

So, want more green energy sources for production, activities, Vietnam government should expand and market policies to attract foreign investment in this sector.

Private enterprise support programs of Denmark made in Vietnam in 1997, with funding of about 74 million, support programs for 300 Pilot projects in more 150 long-term partner in Vietnam.

Evaluation of the results of the program to support enterprises in recent years, John Nielsen, said Vietnam is one of the successful implementation of the national program.

Many Danish partners are still operating in Vietnam after the end of the financial support of the Danish.

Support programs focused on areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean water and sanitation field goal, Waste, food, health care and education. So, Denmark in the future will continue to implement programs to support businesses in Vietnam.

Labor laws and regulations related to health issues and occupational safety, environmental impact of workplace.

The workshop was organized to help the two parties now have the opportunity to exchange and seek opportunities for cooperation and possible establishment of projects under the program to support businesses.

Currently there are over 130 Danish companies are investing in Vietnam, mainly the field of information technology, food, pharmaceutical.
