On June 19, 2026, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hien and Mr. Nguyen Phuc Anh, members of the PGS Van Du Coordination Board, attended a workshop titled “Market Linkages – Promoting the Consumption of Forest and Farm Products for Cooperatives and Collaborative Groups.” The event was held under the framework of the Forest and Farm Facility (FFF) programme, funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The workshop provided a platform for delegates, cooperatives, collaborative groups, and relevant stakeholders to exchange experiences in developing sustainable, climate-resilient production. It also offered an opportunity to explore market connectivity and expand distribution channels for forest and farm products.

Discussions focused on practical topics, including building green raw material supply zones for export, enhancing climate adaptation and quality management, market positioning for agricultural produce, capital and credit policies for cooperatives, as well as value chain development and product diversification. Practical case studies—such as the Yen Duong Cooperative, the BigGreen Vietnam clean food chain, and the bamboo shoot value chain in Van Ho (Son La)—provided valuable insights into production and market integration.

Participating in the workshop equipped PGS Van Du Coordination Board members with updated insights into market trends, buyer requirements, and value chain development strategies, thereby strengthening their capacity to support and connect local production groups.

Currently, Project AIN8748 is supporting the Minh Thanh Cooperative in Van Du Commune to develop organic farming models, including cucumber, rice, poultry, and beekeeping. The insights, practical experience, and networking opportunities gained from the event will assist the cooperative in refining its production, elevating product quality, and building stable distribution channels that align production with market demand for sustainable livelihood development.
